Unveiling the process behind songwriting…

In her podcast Listen First, artist Phoebe Hunt invites her listeners into the process of songwriting by sharing the intimate voice memo from her songwriting 'dates' with friends and peers. She says: "I’m an introverted extrovert and this time of isolation has taught me that I viscerally need human connection and authentic collaboration in order to continue expressing as an artist. This podcast has allowed me to connect and create with some of my favorite artists and friends, and I hope that our perspective on the process of songwriting is helpful to anyone who tunes in."

Listen as Phoebe and her collaborators share a conversation about the mindset that is revealed as they enter the space of co-creation. Hunt explains that this "synergy" comes after hours of sitting, deeply listening to one another and building the trust necessary for the "writing qui" to flow.
